Mike’s forecast for the Winter of 2024
“Let me start by telling you that the stats have it. Yes, it is going to be a great winter for snow. Some time ago I was able to get the rainfall stats from Lake Ohau Station going back to 1947 and I found the variance to the annual average was small which in short means that if the summer is dry then the winter will be wet to result in the total rainfall being close to the annual average. Wahoo, yes it has been a dry summer and typical of an “El Nino” climate pattern is massive precipitation in the form of snow over the winter at Ohau. Watch out and be ready. ”
